10:30 am The Mind Training Levelling All Conceptions (Geshe Serlingpa)
The system of meditation practice known as mind training (LOBJONG in Tibetan) is one of the most popular and widely-practised in Buddhism. It offers us a method of transforming adverse circumstances into positive aspects of the path of awakening compassion. This text is from the collection of mind training teachings known as The One Hundred Mind Trainings.
2:30 -4.30pm Vajrayana Initiation* – The Initiation of Marichi
In Vajrayana the deity Marichi (Ozer Chenma ) is a very powerful protective goddess guarding the practitioner from harms caused by obstructive and negative forces. Symbolically she is regarded as the goddess of dawn, signifying the illumination that she bestows.
This particular initiation is drawn from the collection known as The One Hundred Initiations of Bari Lotsawa.
