Description |
We will be welcoming back to Exeter, David Armstrong, a long-standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye, for a day of study and meditation at the Friends’ Meeting House.David will be taking us through part three of a celebrated text, “A Garland of Jewels” by the Sakya founding Lama Chogyal Phagpa. This work covers the entire Buddhist path, from the level of a beginner to that of full enlightenment. Suitable for newcomers and the more experienced practitioner. It is an easy to understand, comprehensive introduction to the dharma, from the level of a complete beginner to the description of the qualities and activities of a Buddha himself or herself. Each session will involve sitting meditation, listening to a section of the teaching, time for reflection and brief questions. Attendance at the earlier meditation days is not essential as David will give an overview for those who have missed previous sessions. The day will be ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the Mahayana Buddhist path.
We will be following venue requirements from the government relating to covid 19:
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to this meditation and study day. Contact: exeter@dechen.org |
