Week 1: Initiation of Tara Who Liberates from all Fears & teachings from “Patterns in Emptiness”
Sunday 18th – Friday 23rd August 2019
In this first week Lama Jampa will teach from his forthcoming work ‘Patterns in Emptiness: understanding dependent origination’. As His Holiness Karmapa says in His forward, ‘This is the heart of the Buddha’s teachings.’ In this course Lama Jampa will show how it is to be approached in all three vehicles. Alongside this teaching Lama Jampa will bestow the initiation of ‘Tara Who Liberates from all Fears’ and lead daily sessions of her meditation.
Week 2: Direct Transmission of Chenrezik Meditation according to Tsembupa
Sunday 25th – Friday 30th August 2019
The second week provides an extremely rare opportunity to receive the system of meditation of Chenrezik from the lineage of the Tibetan siddha Tsembupa.Tsembupa was an 11th century master who obtained this teaching directly from the goddess Vajrayogini. Accompanying the transmission Lama Jampa will bestow the initiations of Chenrezik and Vajrasattva, the transmission of Phowa and instructions on the bardo.

Travel: You can travel by road and ferry, or by rail to Le Bugue or Le Buisson, near Sakya Changlochen Ling. There are direct flights with RyanAir (www.ryanair.com) to Bergerac from London, Bristol, Bournemouth, Liverpool, and other places. You can get a taxi to Bergerac station (best to pre-order from Abeilles Bergerac). The train takes about one hour to Le Bugue or Le Buisson from where you can get a taxi (Archambeau – again pre-order). Or you could share a taxi from the airport to Sakya Changlochen Ling. Alternatively you could fly to Bordeaux or Limoges, both of which are 2 to 3 hours from Le Bugue or Le Buisson by road or rail. From there it is a short taxi journey to Sakya Changlochen Ling. Alternatively you can hire a car from any airport. If driving down, one can find Changlochen on Google Maps by typing in “Sakya Changlochen Ling’.
