Atisha’s Precepts – Middle Way Course over four weeks
Wednesdays January 27th to February 17th 2021
The teaching of Atisha’s Precepts offers us an intimate and pragmatic guide to the spiritual life and provides a series of pithy instructions on how to transform everyday experiences onto the path to realisation. The great Indian master Atisha (982-1054) was responsible for the second spread of Dharma in Tibet. He remained for some time in the Tibetan province of Ngari and was asked before his departure to give some final instructions. These forty verses – his final instructions – are direct advice that can be applied in everyday life, and are often referred to as “Advice from Atisha’s Heart”.
David Armstrong will explain this classic ‘Mind Training’ text over four one-hour sessions on Zoom. This short course is ideal for anyone who has been attending one of the introductory classes at the Centre and wishes to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the buddhist path.
This course will only be available on Zoom. If you would like to attend please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Suggested donation £5 per session which can made online here: https://www.sakyabristol.org/donations/
