Description |
Meditation day: Saturday, November 4th 10.30 to 4.30We are very pleased to welcome back David Armstrong, a long-standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye to lead the day. Atisha’s Precepts‘Atisha’s Precepts’ offers us an intimate and practical guide to the spiritual life. In this short text of 40 verses, Atisha sets out pithy advice on how to transform the experiences of one’s everyday life into the path to enlightenment. (This great Indian master (982-1054) was responsible for the second spread of Dharma in Tibet. He remained for some time in the Tibetan province of Ngari and was asked before his departure to give some final instructions- these very precepts.) Each session will involve sitting meditation, listening to a section of the teaching, and time for reflection and questions. The day will be ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the Buddhist path.
Facility Fee: £15 per day or £5 per session.
