Description
On Saturday 5th February we are very pleased to welcome back David Armstrong to Exeter. David is a long -standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye  and will lead a day of study and meditation at the Friends’ Meeting House.

In 4 one hour sessions, we will focus on the essence of the Mahayana path and its application, namely the 6 perfections or paramitas: giving, ethics, patience, effort, meditation and wisdom.  This will be based on a section of text from “Garland of Jewels” by the celebrated Sakya master Chogyal Phagpa.

This meditation day will be suitable for newcomers and the more experienced practitioner alike as David will provide background and context for the practice of the 6 perfections.

Each session will involve sitting meditation, listening to a section of the teaching, time for reflection and brief questions.

The day will be ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the Buddhist path.

  • Please arrive by 10.00am for a 10.30am start (finishing at 4.30).
  • Please bring food for lunch (which can be shared for those who wish to, depending on covid restrictions at the time).
  • Facility Fee: £15 per day or £5 per session
