Description
“The Eight Verses of Mind Training” by Geshe Langri Tangpa

10.30-4.30

Each one hour session will involve sitting meditation, listening to a section of the teaching, time for reflection, and questions.

This famous lojong (mind training) text contains, in eight short verses, the very essence of the teachings. Embedded in the framework of mahayana Buddhism, its practical and earthy instructions provide us with the resources to deal with everyday challenging situations; in other words, they give us the opportunity to experience the teachings for ourselves, and make them work in our own lives. In this way, they enable us to transform our ordinary everyday mind into bodhicitta, the thought of enlightenment, and so journey along the path to Buddhahood through developing wisdom and compassion.

We are very pleased to welcome back David Armstrong, a long-standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye to lead the day.

Lojong is the life force of Dharma practice” Karma Thinley Rinpoche.
