10.30am – 1.00pm: “Instructions to the Emperor” by Chogyal Phakpa

This famous text was composed by Chogyal Phakpa for his disciple Kublai Khan as an introduction to the essential paths of Buddhism. With exemplary lucidity it relates the key points in the development of ethics, meditation and wisdom.

2.30 – 4.30pm: Initiation of Vasudhara from the lineage of Bari Lotsava

Lama Jampa will give the initiation of the wealth bestowing goddess Vasudhara from the One Hundred Sadhanas of Bari Lotsava. Practice of her sadhana creates the beneficial conditions necessary for cultivating the spiritual path.

Please note that in order to attend the initiation one must have made a formal commitment to the Buddhist path through the act of taking refuge. If you would like to take refuge please contact the Sakya Buddhist Centre in Bristol in advance of the event.

It is possible to attend the teaching and to leave before the initiation starts. Advanced booking will be essential, and will be available from this page. For more information please contact the Sakya Buddhist Centre. Email: bristol@dechen.org
