MAJOR EVENT: Lama Jampa Thaye teaching in Bristol

Lama Jampa Thaye will be teaching in Bristol on Saturday 10th October 2026 and all are welcome to attend.

10.30am – 1.00pm The Excellent Vase of Nectar: a commentary on the Three Heaps Sutra (35 Buddhas Prayer) by Karma Thinley Rinpoche

Lama Jampa Thaye will teach a new commentary by Karma Thinley Rinpoche on The Three Heaps Sutra. The teaching will explain how the famous confession prayer to the Thirty-Five Buddhas is drawn from the Three Heaps Sutra, a central Mahayana text on purification, rejoicing, and dedication. Through this practical and inspiring commentary, participants will learn how this powerful practice helps purify negative karma and supports progress on the Buddhist path.

Copies of the text will be available to buy at the event for £12, but are also available in the shop at the Sakya Centre in Bristol – if you plan to attend you might like to buy your copy in advance to save time on the day.

2.30 – 4.30pm: Initiation of Vasudhara from the lineage of Bari Lotsava

Lama Jampa will give the initiation of the wealth bestowing goddess Vasudhara from the One Hundred Sadhanas of Bari Lotsava. Practice of her sadhana creates the beneficial conditions necessary for cultivating the spiritual path.

Refuge and the bodhisattva vow will be given at the beginning of the initiation’

It is possible to attend the just the morning or afternoon session.
