Sakya Buddhist Centre, 121 Sommerville Rd, Bristol, BS6 5BX, United Kingdom
We are delighted that Paul Rogers will return to the Bristol Sakya Centre this spring to lead another day of study and meditation on Sunday 3rd April [Please note: there will be no Chenrezik puja this Sunday morning].
Paul is a long standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye and coordinator of our Exeter Buddhist Group, Sakya Namgyal Ling. The day will be based on the following text:
“The Eight Verses of Mind Training” by Geshe Langri Thangpa.
“Lojong is the life force of Dharma practice.” Karma Thinley Rinpoche.
This is a famous lojong (mind training) text which has been taught by Lama Jampa a number of times over the years. In fact it embodies in eight short verses, the very essence of mind training teachings.
The day is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Buddhist path, and is ideal for those who have been attending the classes at the Sakya Centre. It also offers time for those who have heard the teaching before to study it again and reflect on its timeless wisdom.
