| Description |
This weekend, we welcome back Paul Rogers, co-ordinator of Exeter Sakya Buddhist group (Sakya Thinley Namgyal Ling), to lead a day of hearing, reflecting and meditating on the renowned Sakya mind training text, ‘Parting from the Four Attachments’. This essential teaching distils the entire Buddhist path into four transformative reflections that provide a framework for us to gradually progress from initially tackling the obstacles posed by worldly concerns to full awakening. Whether you’re new to Buddhism or a long-time practitioner, this teaching offers clarity, structure, and inspiration. It provides a practical overview for beginners, and a renewed perspective for those deep in their practice. Each session will involve meditation, listening to the teaching, and time for reflection and questions. The day will be ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the Buddhist path. Refreshments will be provided but please bring some lunch (to share if you wish). You may also find it helpful to bring a notebook. Suggested donation: £15 for the day or £5 per session [please note that there will be no Chenrezik puja at 10.30am on this day].
