Description
Day of mind training in Exeter: Saturday 2nd November 2024

The day is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Buddhist path.

Karma Thinley Rinpoche

We are very pleased to welcome back David Armstrong, a long-standing student of Lama Jampa Thaye and coordinator at our Bristol centre.

David will start to guide us through a recently published commentary on the ‘Seven Points of Mind Training’ by Karma Thinley Rinpoche (pictured above) entitled ‘Dispelling the Darkness of Suffering’.

This text provides practical and earthy instructions to deal with everyday challenging situations through a cycle of pithy direct teachings to transform the mind. Rinpoche illuminates how spiritual realisation is not achievable without the inner transformation that widens our view from our own happiness to focusing instead on the happiness of others.

The day will be divided into four one hour sessions. Each will involve sitting meditation, listening to a section of the teaching, time for reflection, and questions.

  • Please arrive by 10.15am for a 10.30am start and bring food for lunch (to share if you wish)
  • Sessions: 10.30-11.30 / 12.00-1.00 / 2.00-3.00 / 3.30-4.30
  • Facility Fee: £15 for the full day
