News from Changlochen

Lama Jampa Thaye has been staying at Sakya Changlochen Ling, Dechen’s European retreat centre, since late July. During the first week of the summer course Lama Jampa taught part 1 of Sonam Tsemo’s ‘General Presentation of the Tantra Sets’, a clear and helpful description of vajrayana and its context. There was a large and enthusiastic audience from the UK, continental Europe and the US.

In the second week Lama Jampa bestowed the White Tara of the Wish-Fulfilling-Wheel initiation and practice instructions (tri). There was then a retreat on White Tara for the rest of the week, giving participants time to learn and engage with this beautiful practice as well as being able to spend some relaxed time with sangha and enjoy the glorious surroundings and sunny weather, as you can see from the pictures.

Lama Jampa will continue to teach Sonam Tsemo’s text next year at Changlochen, during the summer course. The dates for the course will be 14th – 26th August 2016, further details will be announced closer to the time.
