Sundays 10.30-11.30am at the Sakya Buddhist Centre in Bristol.
These are short Buddhist meditation sessions designed for families with children of all ages. They will be led by Aurielle, mum of two. The classes will comprise a short meditation followed by a Buddhist story and craft activity. All ages are welcome, but grown ups are required to stay with their child/ren.
“As a mum and practicing Buddhist, I realise how challenging it can be for busy parents to make space for meditation. I feel that Buddhism has a lot to offer children and I am very interested in exploring ways to make it accessible and engaging for young people. These sessions are designed to give both parents/carers and children/young people an opportunity to practice meditation and learn about Buddhism, in a friendly and relaxed environment”.
Classes are free but donations are welcome.
Sessions will run every Sunday except where it clashes with certain teaching dates of Lama Jampa’s, which are currently: 28th Dec 2025 and in 2026: 1st Feb, 3rd May, 6th June, 23rd and 30th August, 6th and 20th September. However, if you did turn up on one of these days, you would be welcome to sit and observe the puja.
Feel free to call or message Aurielle on 07792792622 if you have any questions or to check if a session is running.
