Over twenty sangha members gathered at Poulstone Court Retreat Centre in October, for the annual Chenrezik retreat. There was a good mix of people there, some quite new to dharma and others who’ve been practising for many years. During the first sessions we went through the practice slowly and with some explanation, helpful for the newer people and always good for everyone to have reminders about the key points of the practice. We were really fortunate with the weather which gave us the opportunity to wander in the beautiful gardens in between sessions. On Saturday afternoon we had a group walk down to the river Wye, over the swaying suspension bridge and across the fields beyond. Delicious vegetarian food was provided by the venue (not to mention cake), which has become the hallmark of this event! Everyone enjoyed this special weekend, which will continue to be an annual fixture on the Bristol Sakya Centre’s calendar.
